Day 17 - Oiy ya yoi

Deep breath...I cant believe I am still in it! But I am and I feel good. I am sleeping a little better now. I am getting past the soreness in my muscles and I can really feel my metabolism working. The best feeling of all, is completing each workout, dripping in sweat, and knowing that I am capable to changing my lifestyle.

It is a lifestyle change and that is what I have to keep telling myself.

Till tomorrow my friends, stay fit and stay healthy.

Day 16 - Cardio Recovery

Done with Day 16. I am feeling tired today, luckily though, today was Cardio Recovery, which was pretty easy going. I am committed and still going strong, still eating right, still doing the damn thang.

Well...short and sweet tonight folks, gotta pack for this trip and I am taking my DVD's with me!

Day 15 - Pure Cardio and Abs AGAIN!

And I barley have the energy to type this blog. OH MY WOOOOOORD! This ish is INSANE! This dude Shaun T is crazy! and perhaps on speed, because damn, I feel like I am going to pass out during some of the work outs and he is just jumping, and pumping and doing freaking acrobats talking about "PUSH PUSH DIG DEEPER, CORE TIGHT" and I am like...excuse me!?? What if you don't have a core to keep tight???? How can you tense muscles that ARE NOT THERE??! Like a new born trying to raise their head while on their belly, their ish bobs because they don't have neck muscles! Well that's my core people LOL

It would be nice if there was guide. Such as...if your a beginner and have never should expect agility improvement is x amount of days. If your intermediate...then x amount of days for you. It would be a good guide to see if we are where we should be.

Any how...I am pooped so PEACE out lovers!

Day 14

So although this is Day 14, this is the 2nd day of my 3rd week! I cant believe two weeks has already passed. Today was a little bit of a struggle, but not too bad. I am sore, I am tired, but I am still motivated! This is not only good for my physical health, but also for my mind. I feel good, my endorphin's are at a healthy level and I feel less stressed. I can do it.

And if I am motivating you...then so can you! Hold on to that motivation and keep going!

Till tomorrow...

Day 13! 2nd Fit Test

So Sunday was Day 12, which I had off. Today is 13 and it was my two week Fit Test. I did increase in most of the exercises, by a few more repetitions, in others, I stayed the same, and in fact, in one I did a few less. I wonder if I miss counted during the first test. Because how can I excel or stay the same in all of them, but one?

Not much reflected in this weeks measurements and weight. I am down an additional half pound (hey, I will take it), which means I am down a total of 3. But its still early, only been two weeks. These next two weeks I will have to work harder and maybe adjust my calorie in-take. Next week will be challenging since I will be away on business, but I have every intention of still doing the workouts and eating right.

Have to keep pushing and keep "Digging Deeper"!!!

Day - ELEVEN!!!!!!!!!!

(Sigh) I am worn and torn! Muscles are throbbing, calves are burning, abs are on fire!! Today was Pure Cardio AND Cardio Abs! Don't get me wrong, I am not pumping through these non stop like a beast (at least not yet). I am taking my breaks when I need to. But my heart has never beat so fast, like it wants to jump right out of my chest! My face is red, cheeks are rosy LOL and STAY rosy, for like, an HOUR after my work out! LOL Now THAT'S Insanity!

Tomorrow is Sunday, and its my official "day off", from working out that is, not from eating right. So, I will get back with ya on Monday!

Have a safe weekend!, Don't drink and drive...PEACE!

Days 9 & 10!!!!! I'm Still Here!

I'm still here! Sorry, I totally forgot to post yesterday. However, I DID complete my work out yesterday! Afterwards, I went out to celebrate my sister's birthday AND I did good at dinner! WOOP! WOOP!

I knocked out Day 10 today and the best thing about it is, I am doing certain exercises now in full form, that I could not do last week! That makes me feel good. I cant wait to take my measurements on Monday and see where I am!

I am still eating good, but I will confess, today I didn't stick with the 5 meal plan. I ended up with a whole wheat bagel for breakfast, which was okay, but then went to lunch with a friend and had a Cobb Salad. And that's all I have had today. So yeah, but that's okay. I will be right back to the regular tomorrow.

See ya tomorrow!

Day 8 - Done!

So the folks at work, coincidentally started Insanity, 3 days after I started lol. They do it at work, after work, 5 days a week. So I worked out with them today, which was cool because it was right after work and I was able to come home and have more time to relax. Plus the motivation to push forward was great! But I only did it because the workout I was supposed to do today, they were doing, so it worked out.

I felt good today, pretty strong. I am still pushing through and have no intentions of stopping. I am leaving in a week for a business trip and I intend to take my laptop and the DVDs and still do the workout in my hotel room (might have to ask for the first floor LOL). Oh aaaaand, I actually had someone tell me today that I looked like I was losing weight! Hey now, that's what I like to hear!

Till tomorrow! Stay motivated! You are your only obstacle.

Day 7 - Pure Cardio

So I am laying in bed, pooped from the Insanity workout and said "Dang! I forgot to blog about how tired I am!". So here I am. Strange, I felt weaker today during my workout; felt stronger yesterday. I don't know why, but I am thinking a multivitamin won't hurt. Insanity, in fact, recommends taking a one. I am feeling sore, a little here and there, but nothing like I felt in week one. Last week I was walking like a duck! Okay, well, if anyone is even reading these blogs lol, keeping it short and sweet tonight. Till tomorrow! Stay strong and stay fit!

Fitness Humor (thanks Sis for sharing) LOL

This was absolutely me on Day 3! LOL

But this one will be me on DAY 60! LOL

Day 6-Cardio Power and Resistance

Let me just say...I am down a solid 2.4 pounds and have lost a total of 4.25 inches in 7 DAYS!! 1.25 off my waist, 1.5 off my hips and 1.5 off my THAT IS MOTIVATING! I guess the 4 pounds I reported earlier, 2 of those pounds was water. They say to weigh at the same time of the day. So since I started this program in the evening, I will continue to weigh in and take measurements every Monday evening. I think evening is more accurate anyway. Because even though I ate today, drank water, etc...still reflected a loss in the numbers.

I worked out longer today before I had to stop and take a break, which means I am building stamina! I decided not to workout on Sunday to get caught up because I felt it would throw me off the whole plan of the program. So I lost one day last week, big deal...I still kicked my own butt! I am so excited to see what results I get in the next 7 days! Every 7 days I will report my physical progress as far as weight loss, etc...

Moving right along baby!

Day 5 - Pure Cardio

Holy moly canoly (my word, I made it up) I am pooped after today's work out! I am off schedule because of the day I missed, but I am still doing the workouts in order. Sunday is supposed to be my day off from working out, but since I sat out earlier this week because of my back, tomorrow I am going to do the workout I was supposed to do today so that I am caught up, which is the Plyometrics.

I did feel a bit stronger today and was able to handle the workouts a little longer before I needed to break. Its all about building my stamina. I have found though, the most important thing, is to at least perform each move, even if fatigued and even if you cant complete all of the repetitions. Because that is how I will build my strength and stamina. And pushing, pushing and digging deeper with in myself serves its purpose to build self discipline and not sell my self short. It feels so good.

Till tomorrow - have a great day!

Cardio Recovery Day 4 - Well kind of

Yes, yes, you are right...I did not blog last night because my 34 year old body was YELLING at me back! my back! my hips and my back! So I sat out yesterday so my back could recover and I feel so guilty for doing that, but I just had to.

So THEN, I flip in today's disc, Cardio Recovery and feel like an absolute idiot for sitting out because it only stretching, a little bit of Yoga which probably would have helped me yesterday! (what a dummy). But oh well, its okay. Better to sit out then to cause further injury to my back, right?

Tomorrow I will hit it again! One day down doesn't kill the whole challenge. ")

Day 3 - Cardio Power is NUTS!!! So I finished day 3...and wow! I struggled through today's workout a little more then the last two days, mostly because the muscles in my legs are sooooo sore! I worked at a bit of a slower pace today, but my heart was still pumping and I was still sweating! And it looks like I am solo now, my son said, "nah...I'm gonna be conditioning for football I am good". What???? I have to do this alone??!! It was helpful the last two days with him pushing me...but I still got this!

I did, however pull a muscle in my back doing jumping squats (yep, lovely)...sooooo not sure how that will work out for tomorrow's session, but I am not giving up! So off I go to rest and this time with an ice pack! LOL

Water weight or real pounds?

So, I just could not help myself...I know Day 3 is not even behind me yet, LOL...but dang...Day 1 and 2 were so crazy...I HAD to weigh myself today. And...I am down 4 lbs! Is it water weight I lost or pounds, who knows...I will take my measurements on Monday and see my progress. But still, hey...I will take it!

I will post another update after I tackle my workout tonight!

Day 2 - Plyometric Cardio Circuit

Holy crap! LOL...its about to get real and its only day 2! The good thing 2 is behind me now. (Phew!) I ate good today...5 meals (according to plan)...met my caloric goals and it feels great. I struggled a little today with feeling hungry, but I filled that hunger with water and the hunger passed. No problemo! I got this!

The workout this evening with Insanity was actually not that bad. Of course, while I was doing the jumping squats and basketball jumps, I was cursing it (silently, in my head) and dripping sweat everywhere...but in the end...its just because I am out of shape. Not Shaun T's fault, my fault. I huffed and puffed through it, feeling sore in my legs from yesterday's fit test, but I pushed through (with breaks here and there). My son gave it his all too...and we encouraged each other through the workout. Tomorrow is "Cardio Power and Resistance" and I am still pumped! But right now, I must relax my muscles, including the ones in my fingers (do we have muscles there? I am sure I will find out soon enough!)

Day 1 - Fitness Test

So I have decided, after ignoring many of the Insanity infomercials ..that I am finally going to do it this time! Its now or never! I know I have to work hard to get the body I want...its not going to come in a Tummy Tuck cream, by eating whatever you want and never working out and its not going to happen by watching infomercials and imaging myself working out LOL (you know you do it too). Thus along with my 60 day challenge, I am going to blog 6 days a week, for 60 days to let you know how I am doing and feeling and to keep myself honest. I am promising to stay dedicated. I am not in shape by any means, so this should be interesting LOL.

Day 1 was the Fitness Test and,, I know I could have done better, but my energy was a little low (probably because I ate a McDonalds cheeseburger, had fries and a diet soda, BUT that's ONLY because I knew I cant have it again for at least 60 days!!). My son has joined me in this challenge as well...his Fitness Test for day 1 was a little better then mine, but we certainly broke a serious sweat and felt the workout in just the 30 minute fitness test! I was out of breath here and there and had to stop for breaks, but in the end it felt good. Which makes me think...holy crap, what will tomorrow bring? I cant wait!
